- Internal Honoree: Lou Potsou – 10th year Hellenic Spirit Foundations’ Orthodox Christian Families In Need Drive
Lou Potsou was a former president of Hellenic Spirit Foundation and All Saints Church board member. Lou organized philanthropic efforts to help those in need by pulling the resources of his contacts to help people/families in their most difficult times. He worked with all the Orthodox priests to identify people/families in need. And that is how we get the families. Lou is the one who created and inspired the Orthodox Christian Families In Need project of Hellenic Spirit of Foundation, which is now honored and named “The Lou Potsou Memorial – Orthodox Christian Families In Need”. The Families In Need drive raised over $30K over the 10 years with Hellenic and outside funds. The memorial fund is overseen by Lou’s wife and two sons, who determine the amount each case receives from this fund each year in December. Donations in Lou’s memory are welcome. You can make an online donation or checks can be mailed to: 6323 Clayton Avenue St. Louis MO 63139. Include Lou Potsou Memorial Fund in Memo.
